Let's Discussion Internet Telephony and Web Conferencing

Internet Telephony called IP Telephony or voice over IP (VOIP) use TCP/IP and pocket switching to send voice transmissions over a private or public IP network. VOIP customers can make call from their computer or telephone by istallting a VOIP router or adapter between their cable or DSL modem and their computer or telephone. Web Conferencing is a virtual meeting conducted using a  browser and web. Web Conferncning can save time and money and improve productivity by allowing participants at various geographic location to come together online to communicate. Deaf people have DSL modem for Video Phone, Purple P3 Video, and they have blackberry sprint and talk online with rely service and video. They can use any online their computer while they have blackberry (pager).

Chapter 6

Let's Discussion Networking Basics

Internet Technologies is helpful to begin with basic networking technologies. I have been learn about computer network, printer, using cable, media, and many different that I know about technology. There is physical topology  the layout with computer and printer And network is method specifies how to data with transmitted from node to node across the network and transmission media are the communication media physical or wireless and used to carry these transmission. Ring Topology connects each node to the next using a single circle of cable and there moves from node to node around the circle in clockwise direction. Plus there process slow and run node to node circle following direction. Star Topology connects each node to a central device hub or switch. When I use computer and open Internet and direction hub or switch while I use print or media/photography And there connection point allow star topology moved or connected to other networks easily.

Digital Portfolio

My major is Digital Media. I work in Buffalo, NY at St. Mary's School for the Deaf in the Museum of Deaf History. I have many responsibilities. Some of the things, I do include scanning pictures and putting them in the folders on the computer, framing picture for the wall, collecting information, and creating background. I also write biographies about the Alumni of St. Mary's Deaf and take pictures for sports events and other ceremonies. There is more information on websites for Museum of Deaf History and Digital Media within the Museum of Deaf History on websites. Deaf Community would have more access to information. Also they enjoy to tour Museum of Deaf History at St. Mary's Deaf.

There are Interest, people can find a web sites with information and web sites to provide entertainment news and movies. People can get get information more specific hobby or interest or travel or news or museum or any A to Z, and etcs, Thousand of entertainment, hobby, and special-interest websites offer something for people and they can research any web sites what do they want to be and their entertainment

Let's Discussion Streaming Media

Website audio and video can enhance viewer's enjoyment and add excitement to the way in which information at the Site is delivered. Many news websites provide video clip of time news commentaries or important news makers interviews and sports. Websites provide video clip of games highlight and Radio websites provide short audio clip of make entire broad cart available as audio over the Internet. Audio and Video that is continuously delivered from a web serve to a web browsers is called streaming media. There are enjoy streaming media and a computer must have a sound card and media played. Deaf people are really enjoy to watch video and audio from youtube. They can hear radio while they can feel vibe and wear their earing aid. They are really love their music and watch video action, sports, comics jokers, and etcs.

Project Halloween

My group and I were discussing about our project Halloween and set up for script. We were trying to set who play and action and set up for costume halloween. We were keeping work on our project and good work team together. Next final our project and we were setting up for project Halloween.

Personal Learning Network

I learn about Personal Learning Network. My first experience, I never learn about iGoogle before. I only know google and get information any research that I can get information from Google. now I new learn about iGoogle and I may research  and get information from iGoogle with add facebaook, twitter, youtube, news, and etcs.

Chapter 4

Let's Discussion Sending and Receiving Message

Sending and Receiving web-based e-mail is very similar to sending and receiving e-mail using an e-mail client. When I open AOL and check e-mail and checking for any new incoming mail and new mail is directed to the inbox folder. Web-based e-mail services provide the same basic feature offered by the e-mail client, I learned about the chapter 1-4 and replying to and forwarding a message, using folders to organize my message, creating, files, and managing my contacts. I open AOL and I have mail from e-mail and notes, pictures, video,laugh-jokers pictures, comic-cartoon, and etcs. I may print from e-mail and move to folder and save in the folder. Most of time I use photoshop and make a pictrure then send AOL to my freinds and enjoy to see the pictures.

Extreme Makeover Oregan School for the Deaf in Oregan. This school helps the deaf community in that region, but they're suffering from a lack of funding. So the 'Makeover' squad shows up -- and they don't just want to change the housing. The school's dormitories date from the 1950s, and now are structurally unsafe. Plus, they look like a "prison," according to one young man. The housing is rebuilt, but more than that, a greater effort is made. The team provides students with hearing aids, allowing them to hear the outsid world ... for the first time ever.One of the students -- a young man named Lukas -- hears his mother say the words "I love you." He turns, understanding the words -- and we realize how valuable being aware of your surroundings can truly be. Yes, the new dorms are important. But receiving your mother's message of love means so much more.

Individuals who maintain connections with other people in order to share information or participate in activities of common interest are involved in process called Social Networking. Social Networking's member profiles and member's personal network. When an individual joins one of these social networking sites, he or she first create a personal profile that describe his or her hobbies and interests. Next the new member uses the site's online communication tool to invite friends to join his or her network. Friends who join the new member's network then post message to member's pages, post comments to discussion groups or blog, chat with each other in real time, digital files, and invite their other friends to join the network. The new member's personal network grows larger and as current friends connect to new friends.
